Description
Hydrochloric acid is an aqueous solution of hydrogen chloride gas with which it has the same chemical formula, HCl. It is an inorganic strong acid, very corrosive with many and important industrial uses. It attacks the skin and destroys any plant or animal tissue. Its smell is irritating and suffocating. Pure hydrochloric acid is completely colorless, but commercial hydrochloric acid is yellowish because it contains impurities.
